Internally, you fix a plasterboard stop bead approx. 5mm below the bottom pane of glass, then you run your plasterboard reveal all around, again rendering all framework invisible. The stepped unit is then bonded into the kerb with a good low modulus glazing silicone, we suggest using at least one tube for every linear metre applying copious amounts on the top edge and into the rebate. Then take the unit from its crate and locate into the aperture, applying gentle pressure so the silicone is squeezed out, it is vitally important there are no’pin holes’, where water may ingress.
