Our beautiful Brightside Frameless Roof Light is constructed with 3x 6mm panes of toughened glass. The gap between each pane is filled with argon gas to enhance the thermal insulation of the product leading to superb energy efficiency. Our units are sealed between panes with a triple layer seal that is 80%. We are so confident in the longevity of this seal, that we guarantee the seal for 20 years. In the unlikely event you have any issues with condensation between panes, don’t worry, you’re covered for a free replacement. Full Black Decorative Border. Our Frameless Roof Window comes complete with a beautiful, black painted border. Not only does the border provide a sleek, modern decorative finish, it also protects the cavity seals from UV rays. Each roof light comes with a set of installation instructions tailored to the size you have order and includes DOWSIL 791 Sealant. Why Don’t You Supply a Timber Kerb? From our experience with flat roofing materials, we know that waterproofing membranes should extend over a rooflight upstand to ensure it is completely watertight, which may affect the upstand’s height. A frameless rooflight should be supported by its lower pane, but if the upstand height is raised by a 2.5mm or thicker membrane, the bottom pane may not be properly supported, stressing the seals between the panes. Please note: The size of the roof window you order should be equivalent to the measurement from one side of the internal edge of your upstand to the internal edge on the opposite side.
