Easy 3-step Fitting Guide. All our Lanterns are Double Glazed. &#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B; STEP 1:&#######xA0; Create your roof opening size and upstand 80mm wide using a good quality roofing timber. STEP 3:&#######xA0; &#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;&#####x200B;Install a Timber Batton to the underside of the lantern to support the bottom pane of the lantern. (Please Note: This is a critical part of the installation Failure to do this may result in the lantern becoming defective and unsafe). See our other items. Great for use in stair wells, ground floor extensions etc. Top Outer Pane -&#######xA0;6mm softcoat toughened with a 100mm UV Printed black border finsihed with&#######xA0;Beveled Edges. Cavity – 18mm spacer bar with argon gas filling. Inner Bottom Pane – 4mm softcoat toughened. Overall 1.2 u value. We recommend that you fit your thermolight roof light&#######xA0;on a gradient of 40mm in 1000mm to allow any surface water to run off. Prior to fitting your thermolight roof light&#######xA0;your on site joiner will need to form a timber kerb up stand&#######xA0;70mm wide x 150mm high leaving a clear opening between the timbers set in by 100mm from size of the roof light&#######xA0;you order eg 1000mm x 200mm rooflight set the internal of the timbers to 800mm x 1800mm. Our thermolight rooflight&#######xA0;has a 100mm overhang on all 4 sides to fully cover and overhang the top face of the timber kerb up stand. Your chosen roof covering (Rubber, GRP or felt) should be applied to your roof, up and over the top face of your timber kerb up stand&#######xA0;prior to fitting the roof light. Once&#######xA0;completed you can commence fitting. Apply suitable glazing silicone to the top of the timber kerb up stand&#######xA0;without compromise. Bed down your thermolight roof light&#######xA0;on the silicone beads with equal pressure ensuring no air bubbles are left. Fit a timber baton&#######xA0;support internally under&#######xA0;the inner pane as shown in the image. This is a critial part of the installation. Failure to fit&#######xA0;this will&#######xA0;result in your Lantern becoming defective, falling parts may occur which can cause injury. This is depending on your location in the country! Any product you return must be in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging. Please keep the receipt. Thermolight’ Flat Rooflight Skylight for flat roofs.
