Premium quality Domed Roof Vent to allow for greater ventilation. Grade A manufacturing with double glazed top unit for additional durability. Three variable opening positons for greater flexibility. Suitable for motorhomes camper vans RV, shower rooms, lofts. Built in Black out blind. Vent is white in colour with light tint top. Hole size Required- 402mm by 402mm. Instructions to fit: 1. Use inteernal cap on top of the roof to draw a template using a pen or felt tip, please ensure you add 5mm extra to the top and left hand side. Secondly cut holes into each of the corners along the template, please ensure that no braces or wiring are not tampred with. Once done check the internal cap will fit, if it is too narrow or tight make incision larger, once concluded sand down any rough edging. Create a wooden frame around the fixture to the depth and finish required, please ensure you take into account your ply and lining. Glue frame with glue and push into place, allow adhesive some time to set. Next screw the internal cap into the timber frame, neatly seal around the top and lip using a sealant. Place the external vent over the lip of the internal cap and mark out the screw holes with a centre punch if needed. Then remove vent from roof and drill all screw hole locations with a 1/16” pilot hole, and seal with primer paint. NOTE: If installing a power or lighted vent, provide power source of 12 volts DC, using 18-gauge wire. Place putty strips/ Sikaflex flex bead around the opening on roof ½” (1.27cm) from edge of opening. Be sure putty strips cover entire area to be sealed. Use double layers of putty strip or extra glue if necessary, to seal ribbed areas. Insert vent into the opening. Use an screw driver or nail to locate and line up corner drilled holes with the corner screw holes in vent frame. CAUTION: Install vents with lid hinge side toward front of vehicle. Screw corner screws first to hold vent in place then screw all remaining vent mounting screws. Tighten just enough to compress putty tape. Over-tightening may cause Plastic Base Vents to crack please check prior to doing this. Using the appropriate roof coat for your roof surface, coat screw heads and vent frame edge and seal around the frame if necessary.
