Larger Model Safety Glazing. The 2000mm x 1000mm model uses PVB laminated safety glass as specified for the larger unit. The triple-glazed construction combines argon-filled cavities with thermal spacer technology to reduce heat transfer through the rooflight. With a quoted U-value of approximately 0.72 W/m²K, the rooflight is designed to provide strong thermal performance while allowing substantial natural light into the room. The Low-E glass and insulated cavities help improve the overall thermal efficiency of the glazing system. Natural Light & Modern Design. The frameless construction provides a clean, contemporary appearance without a bulky visible frame. With approximately 73% visible light transmittance, the skylight allows plenty of daylight into interior spaces. The 100mm UV-printed black border around all four sides provides a sleek finished appearance and helps create a clean transition around the glazing. Ideal for areas such as. Optional Timber Upstand Made to Size. A pre-made timber upstand is available as an optional addition. Our timber upstands are manufactured from C24 structural-grade CLS timber and faced with 12mm OSB sheet. The upstand is supplied with a pre-formed 1:40 fall to assist rainwater run-off. Can be weatherproofed with the selected roof covering. Suitable for use with EPDM and other compatible roofing systems. Internal face can be finished with suitable board such as plasterboard. The typical upstand height is approximately 150mm, reducing to around 140mm, 130mm or 125mm, depending on the rooflight size. The upstand can help accommodate insulation requirements and support installation in accordance with the relevant project specification and building requirements. Installation & Drainage Fall. The rooflight should be installed with a 1:40 fall to allow rainwater to run off effectively. 1000mm length = approximately 25mm fall. The supporting structure and upstand should therefore be prepared with the appropriate fall before installation. Professional installation is recommended.
